A lovely description of this beautiful boy:
Ajax was a Black Labrador with brindle markings who came to us from Guiding Eyes for the Blind. He was released for adoption at 9 weeks old, after he demonstrated in his puppy test that he would rather have some service humans than become a service dog. He grew up in Central Park in New York City and loved long walks, playing in the snow, swimming in the ocean, and tug-of-war. Ajax was named after a hero from the Trojan War and a mountain in Aspen, Colorado. True to his name, he remained strong, elegant, athletic and adventurous throughout his 14 years. This picture perfectly captures the description given to us before we picked him up as a puppy, when they told us he had “smart and soulful” eyes.
